The all-new SportRunner 25 is described as an evolution of the companys acclaimed mahogany deck Adriatic. It addresses a new market for a luxury boat, says President and Chief Designer, Tony Kazulin. The SportRunner 25 is made for customers who appreciate quality and who want something unique in this size range, while retaining an all-fibreglass construction.
The SportRunners wide-open cockpit features expansive floor space and a multi-seat L-shaped lounge that accommodates up to seven passengers. The cockpit opens to the transom swim and sun pad area via two ample side passages, merging functionality with high standards of design, elegance and performance. Powered by a single 8.1L engine from MerCruiser or Volvo-Penta, the SportRunner 25 features a stepped hull design for optimal handling under all conditions. It is effectively impossible to make this hull porpoise, regardless of how you trim the engine, notes Kazulin. We have tuned the hull profile to the point where we have eliminated the need for trim tabs. It will run 60 miles per hour effortlessly, yet offers superlative handling. It is a boat that needs to be driven to be truly appreciated.
Depending on equipment, the SportRunner 25 will retail in the $100,000 to $160,000 range.
Kazulin is excited about launching the new
line during an economic period when most boat manufacturers are still laying
low. We move with the times, and
continue to offer buyers something new and exciting says Kazulin.
